Separation vessel

 

Functioning principle

  The separation vessel 2,3 m³ serves to separate the liquid phases suspended in the sample gases. Brute sample gases are refuted in the interior of the vessel through the connection DN 50 (R1), where where they come to rest and favorable conditions are created for separating and depositing on the bottom of the separator the suspended liquid phases.

  In the vessel three components are formed:

 - probe gas, which accumulates in the superior part of the vessel and it is evacuated through a connected pipe to DN 150 (R2) disposed at the top of the separation vessel's body;

 - water, having a higher density than most phases, gets deposited on the bottom of the vessel and it's eliminated through the drain connection DN 50 (R4) found at the bottom of the vessel;

 - the liquid hydrocarbons phase, which is lighter than water, creates a liquid layer on top of the water and it's evacuated through the horizontal connection DN 50 (R3) found on the bulging bottom of the vessel in the vicinity of the liquid hydrocarbon layer.

Field of use 

 

 The separation vessel 2,3 m³ is used for the exploitation of the oil and natural gas deposits and serves for the separation of the gaseous component from the liquid components in the probe gases.

Advantages

 

 - the separation vessel 2,3 m³, being a horizontal, is better for high gas / liquid flows, compared to vertical separators;

 - it is smaller and cheaper than vertical vessels;

 - the phase separation is more efficient than in vertical separators;

 - being a welded construction out of stainless steel, it resists at corrosion.
